In your childhood, cartoon characters were an essential part of your life. You cannot come out of their magic even after having your own child. It seems exciting to enjoy Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny or even Pink Panther.

Nowadays, the cartoon world is changing dramatically. You can see different animated characters in the list of your children. Still, some classic cartoons are evolved according to the modern era. Today, we will share a list of some famous cartoon characters of all time.

Mickey Mouse

Mickey Mouse first time appeared in Steamboat Willie in 1928. This famous character is voiced by Wayne Allwine, Jimmy MacDonald, and Walt Disney. His fantastic work in different animated cartoons and movies is really interesting. 

The hangmouse (hangdog) expression on his face is famous when his master returns and discovered a flooded castle with plenty of enchanted mops. He has starred in more than 121 theatrical releases, such as featurettes and shorts. In fact, Mickey Mouse was the first animated character to earn a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on 18th November 1978.

Looney Tunes (Daffy Duck)

In 1937, Daffy Duck was created by Bob Clampett and Tex Avery. Daffy can be despicable, but he is endearing the Josh Jackson with the enduring popularity of his shows. He debuted in Porky’s Duck Hunt. From a clumsy clown, Daffy has transformed into a sarcastic character. Similarly, this sarcastic duck always keeps up with his special antics and Bugs Bunny.

Bugs Bunny: A Classic Cartoon Character

Do you know a famous rabbit in the world except for Bugs Bunny? Absolutely, not because it is the most famous character to make people laugh. His catchphrase is unforgettable, “What’s up, Doc”? In 1940, he made his first debut in Wild Hare. 

You can see this rabbit in different characters, such as poking fun at highbrow culture or outwitting a foul knight in Knighty Knight. Undoubtedly, bugs have made memorable cartoons with numerous other stars.

Popeye

Similar to other cartoon characters, Popeye started as a comic strip. He is a spinach-loving sailor created by E.C. Segar. In 1929, he made his first debut and became a hit quickly. Then, after four years, Max Fleisher animator, introduced Popeye on the big screen. 

In the 1960s, Paramount Studios started theatrical Popeye shorts production and TV series. Shelley Duval and Robin Williams appeared in 1980 as the girlfriend of Popeye and Popeye in a film. Popeye made everyone crazy about spinach because he got power by having it.

Wile E. Coyote    

Poor Coyote always fails to catch the Road Runner even after buying Acme gadgets. This unique cartoon character appeared in Fast and Furry-Ous in 1949. He has appeared in almost 50 short cartoons. The highlight of each episode is the endless supply of Acme products. 

Many classic episodes show the hard work of Michael Maltese and Chuck Jones. It is a stellar example of silent cinema. Moreover, Coyote gets his voice after pairing opposite Bugs Bunny.

Scooby-Doo and Shaggy

If you are from the 60s, 70s and 80s, you may know unforgettable cartoon characters Scooby-Doo and Shaggy. They solve different mysteries with their teen pales. Joseph Barbera and William Hanna had created this special gang in 1969. In school life, everyone was used to watch Scooby-Doo, where are you. Shaggy, Scooby, Velma, Daphne and Fred made leaps in 1976 from CBS – ABC.

Knuckles the Echidna

He is a tritagonist of the Hedgehog series of Sonic. Knuckles the Echidna is a fictional character. Echidna is a short-beaked red anthropomorphic echidna who is serious and determined. This character can climb up and glide walls. Moreover, he is a strong fighter with spiked hands.

Knuckles the Echidna is a guardian for Master Emerald. Remember, it is a gemstone to control the important Chaos Emeralds series. Undoubtedly, he is a popular character in the series. The character is famous for his strong martial arts skills. In addition, he likes to have grapes. By using super emeralds, he can transform himself into Hyper Knuckles.

Tweety Bird

In 1942, Tweety bird made a debut. It is about two kitties, but Sylvester also appears with them. Tweety Pie is an Oscar-winning short with an endless attempt of Sylvester to have Tweety Bird in the meal. But, interestingly, the bird always escapes.

Winnie the Pooh

It is one of the exciting cartoon characters. A little bear started as a doodle in the book of children. Winnie the Pooh is a flourishing Disney franchise after the company purchased rights in the 60s. This cute character has starred in different cartoons, feature films and TV. 

Some memorable cartoons were Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree, and the Blustery Day. In addition, Disney released a successful movie after following the original story of A.A. Milne.

Space Ghost

Space Ghost is a famous character from the 60s. Hanna-Barbera cartoons involve Space Ghost to battle villains in outer space. He started a late-night talk show and got a stratosphere of stardom. He used a TV screen to interview human guests and bantered with cohosts Zorak and Moltar. The deadpan delivery of characters and laser beans helped him to create a cult sensation.

Woody Woodpecker

Woody woodpecker is another antihero living to common difficulties. His cackling is the most famous attribute. However, Mel Blanc and Ben Hardaway voiced the character. Woody shares different characteristics with the pileated woodpecker. 

Tom and Jerry

At MGM, Joseph Barbera and William Hanna had created Tom and Jerry. They made their debut in 1940 and have several short films. It is an exciting combo of cat and mouse at Warner Brothers.  People like torment and change between Jerry and Tom. Finally, however, Tom has the upper hand, but still, he is trying to make jerry a meal.

The Powerpuff Girls

Girl power contains Buttercup, Bubbles, and Blossoms that keep Townsville USA safe and protect it from evils. They also deal with the pressure of kindergarten. This series is full of humor and art. The show premiered in 1998 for the first time.
